Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Rhyme Finder free?
Yes — completely free, no signup, no account, no usage limits.
Is my data private?
Yes — all processing runs in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
Where do the rhymes come from?
The CMU Pronouncing Dictionary (about 134,000 American-English words). Pronunciations are looked up phonetically, so the matches are based on real sounds rather than spelling.
What's the difference between perfect and family rhymes?
A perfect rhyme matches the stressed vowel and everything after it (cat/hat). A family rhyme matches just the vowel and final consonant manner (cat/cap). Near rhymes share the vowel but differ on the consonant.
